Internal Medicine
Fox Run Equine Center has the personnel and equipment to handle referral internal medicine cases. Typical cases include various ophthalmic disorders, laminitis, medical colic (impactions, colitis), neonatal foals and high-risk preganancies, respiratory disease, endocrine testing and therapy (hyperadrenocorticism, hypothyroidism, hyperlipemia/hyperlipidemia), neurologic consults (including CSF taps), and cardiac diagnostics. Our on site clinical laboratory, multi-probe digital ultrasound unit with doppler capability, digital radiology, digital endoscopy, and nuclear scintigraphy capabilities are frequently used for the diagnosis and monitoring of patients on our internal medicine service.
