Cardiovascular Disorders

Fox Run Equine Center has the ability to diagnose cardiac abnormalities.  These disorders include congenital abnormalities; arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation; myocarditis; endocarditis; and congestive heart failure.  Our experienced clinicians will work with you and your horse to find the best solution for each individual case.

Diagnostic investigation may include auscultation and physical examination, electrocardiogram, doppler ultrasonography, and routine and/or specialized blood testing.  Various cardiac medications, antibiotics, and other medications may be used in the treatment of your horse.
