Neurologic Disorders

Our experienced team at Fox Run Equine Center works with your horse to diagnose and treat any neurologic abnormalities.  These include congental diseases such as cervical vertebral stenosis (wobblers) and infectious diseases such as meningitis, West Nile Virus infections, and parasitic conditions such as Equine Protozoal Myelitis (EPM) or aberrant parasite migration.

In pursuit of a diagnosis, cervical radiographs, myelography, cerebrospinal fluid collection and analysis may be used.  Intensive care can be provided for patients with severe neurologic dysfunction.
