Dr. Brian Burks grew up in the San Joaquin Valley of California, where he was active in the 4-H club, specifically canine obedience and rabbitry. In an effort to realize his dream of becoming a veterinarian, he began to work as a veterinary assistant for Dr. Michael Stabbe at Clovis Equine Clinic. During this time he attended California State University, Fresno. Brian is a graduate of Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine. In preparation for a residency program, he completed an internship at Equine Medical Associates, outside of St. Louis, Missouri. He has authored journal articles and has been a speaker for veterinary continuing education programs. In 2006, he became boarded by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, in equine practice. The ABVP recognizes excellence in the practice of veterinary medicine, and is an arduous endeavor involving case reports and examination.

He takes great satisfaction in diagnosing difficult cases and joy in a successful recovery.
